JSM DRIVER TRAINING - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the provision of driver training services by JSM Driver Training ("JSM") to the student/customer ("Student"). By enrolling in our driver training programs, the Student acknowledges and agrees to comply with these T&Cs. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. To secure a training session, the Student must make a booking and pay the required fee in advance.
1.2. JSM accepts various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards and electronic transfers. Payment details and options will be provided during the booking process.
1.3. Deposits are non-refundable.
1.4. All courses must be paid in full at least 10 working days prior to the starting date.
1.5. Retest fees must be paid in full prior to booking.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
2.1. Cancellation by Student:
If the Student wishes to cancel or amend a booked training session, they must provide:
- 24 hours' notice for car training sessions (excluding Sundays).
- 7 working days' notice for vocational training, including CPC courses.
Failure to provide the required notice will result in cancellation or amendment fees.
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
- Less than the required notice: Cancellation or amendment fees will apply, and refunds, if applicable, will be processed with consideration of these fees.
- Failure to attend without prior notice for courses booked with less than the minimum notice period: 100% loss of the course fee.
Refunds, minus applicable cancellation or amendment fees, will be processed within a reasonable time frame.
2.2. Cancellation by JSM:
JSM reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a training session due to unforeseen circumstances such as instructor unavailability, vehicle issues, or inclement weather. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made, and the Student will not incur any cancellation or amendment fees.
2.3. HGV/PCV Retests:
- Once booked, HGV/PCV retests cannot be cancelled.
- Retest fees for HGV/PCV must be paid in full prior to booking.
2.4. JSM's Responsibility:
- JSM cannot be held responsible for any tests cancelled by the Driving Standards Agency.
- JSM cannot be held responsible for candidates who present themselves for test or training without the correct documentation. All documents MUST be originals and not photocopies
3. Training Sessions
3.1. Instructor and Vehicle:
- JSM will make every effort to assign a qualified instructor and appropriate training vehicle for each session.
- However, there is no guarantee that the same instructor or vehicle will be available for retests or subsequent sessions.
- In unforeseen circumstances, such as instructor illness or vehicle maintenance issues, JSM may need to substitute instructors or vehicles as necessary.
4. Conduct and Compliance
4.1. Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and follow all safety instructions provided by JSM instructors.
4.2. Students must comply with all relevant traffic laws and regulations during training sessions.
5. Liability
5.1. JSM is committed to providing safe and effective driver training. However, JSM shall not be liable for any accidents, damages, or injuries that may occur during training sessions or as a result of the Student's driving actions outside of training.
6. Privacy
6.1. JSM collects and processes personal information for training purposes. We adhere to applicable data protection laws and maintain the confidentiality of Student data.
7. Amendments and Modifications
7.1. JSM reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Updated T&Cs will be made available on our website, and it is the Student's responsibility to review them periodically.
8. Governing Law
8.1. These T&Cs are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
By enrolling in JSM Driver Training programs, the Student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
